Jimmii Montana (Cierra Wilson) was born on September 22nd, in Cleveland, OH. She is the 3rd born, 1st daughter of 9 children. Growing up, her mother worked two jobs to maintain a household and nurture her children alone. Her father, a known street hustler, spent majority of her childhood in and out of the prison systems.

 

At 13, she was introduced to the brutal streets of Cedar Heights along Cedar Avenue Projects. In an effort to avoid distractions and negative influence she would spend her spare time visiting local libraries. Literature and the internet allowed her to explore a world beyond her own. Despite her efforts to evade the lifestyle, she fell into the game herself. There Jimmii Montana was born from a hustler’s depiction of her. He said she "had the swag of Jim Jones and the demeanor of Tony Montana." She was 14.

 

Jimmii later gave up the streets and picked up a pen & pad. She began writing poetry, to release her tension. A year later, she released her first song; a poem she'd written and recorded over Ashanti's "Baby" musical instrumental. The
response was overwhelmingly positive. Her supporters’reactions encouraged her to enter local radio rap contests,compete and win.
